The 2024 Ford Mustang is the seventh generation Ford sports car featuring revised chassis hardware and two improved powertrains. The Ford Mustang is powered by the 5.0L V8 that now boasts up to 480 HP or an upgraded 315-HP turbocharged 2.3L EcoBoost with 350 lb-ft of torque produces 5 HP more than the previous Mustang. A six-speed manual is standard on GT with the 5.0L V8, and every EcoBoost Mustang comes with a 10-speed automatic. For elevated performance, Recaro buckets and an active exhaust are available specs, plus, Ford drivers near Wayne, MI, can add the Performance Electronic Parking Brake for easier drifting.
New for 2024, GT and EcoBoost models will offer an optional Performance Pack equipment upgrade that adds a front strut-tower brace, Torsen limited-slip differential, wider wheels and tires, larger Brembo brakes and MagneRide active-dampening suspension. Finally, the new Coyote V8 is rated for 480 HP and 415 lb-ft of torque, while an optional performance exhaust increases output to 486 HP and 481 lb-ft, and the all-new Mustang Dark Horse track-ready model is a step up on GT and features a 500-HP 5.0L V8 with either a 10-speed automatic or six-speed manual.
